Southampton striker Billy Sharp has moved to Nottingham Forest on a season-long loan.

Sharp has only been at the Saints since January, but manager Nigel Adkins has allowed the former Doncaster man to go to Forest for the rest of the campaign.

The 26-year-old has fallen down the pecking order at St Mary's following the signing of Zambian Emmanuel Mayuka and the return of Tadanari Lee.

Sharp will be reunited with his former Donny manager Sean O'Driscoll after he replaced Steve Cotterill last month.
