Sevilla go fourth with Getafe victory

Sevilla go fourth in La Liga with a 2-0 win over Getafe at Ramon Sanchez Pijuan.

Sevilla edged out Getafe 2-0 in La Liga this evening to move up to fourth in the division.

Carlos Bacca scored a penalty just before half time at Ramon Sanchez Pijuan following Getafe goalkeeper Vicente Guaita's booking for conceding the spot kick.

After the break, Angel Lafita had a great chance to level things up, but he could only direct his header wide after a good cross from Michel.

Bacca was in the hunt for his second, but the striker could not find the target from outside the box on 83 minutes, but Aleix Vidal secured the points minutes later.

The 25-year-old doubled Sevilla's advantage with three minutes of normal time remaining with a close-range finish which secured Unai Emery's side a home victory.
