Carlos Fernandez reveals debut delight

Highly-rated youngster Carlos Fernandez reveals his delight after making his first-team debut for Sevilla.

Carlos Fernandez has revealed his delight after making his first-team debut for Sevilla.

The 17-year-old, who is regarded as one of the best young talents in La Liga, entered as a second-half substitute in Sunday's 1-0 win over Real Sociedad at the Estadio Ramon.

"Any player from the youth system would dream of a debut like this, working day by day to, realising the first dream of training with the first team, then helping with a win," he told reporters.

"There was always going to be some nerves, but the fact is, everything went really well for me."

Fernandez has trained with the Sevilla first team over the last couple of months.
