David Moyes: 'Injuries no excuse ahead of Basque derby'

Real Sociedad boss David Moyes is not interested in discussing his side's injury problems ahead of the Basque derby against Athletic Bilbao.

Real Sociedad boss David Moyes has insisted that injuries will not harm his side's chances of beating Athletic Bilbao on Sunday.

Sociedad will enter the match against their Basque rivals without as many as five first-team players, but the Scot is not looking for excuses ahead of the key encounter.

"Although I know it's a derby, we're only thinking about winning. Injuries aren't an excuse, they're a part of football," Moyes told reporters at a press conference.

"All teams suffer from them, and I'm sure we won't be affected by ours and that the fans will see a good show."

Mikel Gonzalez, Joseba Zaldua, Gorka Elustondo, Markel Bergara and Imanol Agirretxe are the players that will miss out.
