Real Madrid Castilla relegated from Segunda Division

Real Madrid Castilla lose 1-0 against Real Murcia to drop out of the Spanish second division.

Real Madrid Castilla have been relegated from the Segunda Division following a 1-0 defeat against Real Murcia.

Three points against Sabadell last time out gave Manolo Diaz's side hope that they could escape the drop, but Kike's 15th-minute goal at Estadio Nueva Condomina ended the capital city side's stay in the Spanish second division.

Los Griegos climb up to fourth place with the victory, ensuring a spot in the end-of-season playoffs.

Elsewhere, Barcelona B edged past relegated Hercules 2-1 to ensure that they finished their campaign in third place.
