Goalkeeper Keylor Navas has reportedly been promised a new contract by Real Madrid president Florentino Perez.
A fortnight ago it appeared that Navas was about to join Manchester United in a deal that would have taken David de Gea in the opposite direction.
However, Los Blancos failed to file the necessary paperwork before the transfer deadline passed, which meant that both keepers remained with their respective clubs.
Now, according to Marca, Navas is to be rewarded for the way that he coped with the uncertainty over his future, having kept four La Liga clean sheets this term.
The 28-year-old Costa Rica international joined Madrid from Levante in 2014.
