Real Madrid team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Getafe

Sports Mole rounds up Real Madrid's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Thursday's La Liga clash with Getafe.

Real Madrid will be looking to make it six wins in a row since returning to La Liga action when they welcome neighbours Getafe to the Santiago Bernabeu on Thursday evening.

Los Blancos picked up maximum points in June to move above Barcelona at the top of the division with six matches left to play.

Next up for Madrid is the visit of Getafe, who remain in contention for a Champions League spot after a superb campaign to date.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Madrid's latest injury and suspension news ahead of the midweek clash.

Luka Jovic

Status: Out
Type of injury: Foot
Possible return date: Unknown

A disappointing debut campaign at Madrid got even worse for Luka Jovic when he fractured his right foot during the lockdown period. The Serbian is back in training and is due to be back available for selection in the next couple of weeks.

Nacho

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Thigh
Possible return date: July 2 (vs. Getafe)

Madrid revealed earlier this month that versatile defender Nacho had picked up a thigh injury during a training session. The capital giants did not mention a timeframe when they confirmed the Spaniard's problem, although he is back in training and has an outside chance of featuring on Thursday.

Lucas Vazquez

Status: Out
Type of injury: Calf
Possible return date: Unknown

Zinedine Zidane will again be without the services of Lucas Vazquez as the experienced attacker continues to nurse a calf problem. The Spaniard will sit out the Getafe match, but he should play again before the end of the campaign.

REAL MADRID'S SUSPENSION LIST

Luka Modric and Ferland Mendy served a one-game ban against Espanyol, but both players are back for Thursday's match and Madrid have no other suspension concerns.
