Barcelona boss Xavi will be unable to call upon Raphinha for Sunday's Spanish Super Cup final against their old foes Real Madrid.

The Brazilian winger is set for a spell on the sidelines after he was forced off the first half of Thursday's semi-final clash with Osasuna due to a hamstring issue.

Raphinha joins an injury list that contains Marc-Andre ter Stegen (back), Inigo Martinez (muscle), Marcos Alonso (back) and Gavi (knee).

Joao Cancelo is also likely to miss Sunday's showpiece, having been absent from Barcelona's last two matches due to a knee injury that he picked up against Las Palmas on January 4.

With the Manchester City loanee struggling to prove his fitness, France international Jules Kounde is poised to retain his place at right-back.

Andreas Christensen is set to resume his central-defensive partnership with Ronald Araujo, while Alejandro Balde will operate on the left side of a back four that will offer protection to goalkeeper Inaki Pena.

With Ilkay Gundogan and Frenkie de Jong expected to retain their spots in the engine room, Xavi will have to make a decision over the third member of his midfield trio.

Sergi Roberto started the semi-final against Osasuna, but Pedri is in contention to steal his place after he returned from injury to make a substitute appearance on Thursday.

Raphinha's absence will present Lamine Yamal with a chance to start on the right flank, and after scoring the second goal in the 2-0 semi-final victory, the 17-year-old now has the chance to become the youngest-ever scorer in El Clasico.

Joao Felix provided the assist for Yamal's effort and is now pushing to take Ferran Torres's spot on the left flank.

Having scored in each of his previous Spanish Super Cup appearances, Robert Lewandowski will look to continue that trend when he leads the line for the Catalan giants.
