Germany boss Joachim Low suggests that he holds an interest in becoming the next manager of Real Madrid.

Germany boss Joachim Low has suggested that he is open to becoming manager of Real Madrid in the future.

Low has spent the last 12 years on the international scene with Germany, but a poor World Cup and UEFA Nations League has left the 58-year-old fighting to keep his job.

Madrid have endured a disappointing first half of the campaign and it is unclear whether Santiago Solari will remain in the position past the end of this season, leading to Low acknowledging that he would be open to a switch to the Bernabeu.

Low told ZDF: "I was a club manager for several years and I am still not thinking about retirement. It's also clear that the majority of my time as national team coach has already passed, so the moment will arrive when I have to think about what to do after.

"For me, I am still interested in coaching a club. I think it would be abroad, not in Germany. Real Madrid are an interesting club for any manager."

Low's last club role came with Austria Vienna during the 2003-04 campaign.
