Sports Mole takes an in-depth look at how Paris Saint-Germain could line up for Sunday's Ligue 1 clash with Reims.

Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Marco Verratti could make his return to action when the Ligue 1 champions host Reims at the Parc des Princes on Sunday night.

The Italy international has missed his side's last three matches in all competitions with a muscular problem, but he has since returned to team training and should be fit to start here.

However, Presnel Kimpembe is expected to miss out as he continues to recover from an Achilles injury, while Nordi Mukiele is a few weeks away from coming back from a hamstring issue.

Keylor Navas was given the nod in goal for the 7-0 Coupe de France thumping of Pays de Cassel, but Gianluigi Donnarumma will now return as Nottingham Forest aim to get a January deal over the line for the former.

Sergio Ramos and Marquinhos will protect the Italy number one as ever, with Achraf Hakimi and the fit-again Nuno Mendes set to bomb down the flanks for the champions.

Should Verratti be passed fit to start, the 30-year-old could form a recognisable midfield trio with Vitinha and Fabian Ruiz, although Carlos Soler scored in the last 32 of the cup and has given Christophe Galtier food for thought.

Fresh from scoring a whopping five goals versus sixth-tier Pays, Kylian Mbappe will reunite with Neymar and Lionel Messi - who was granted a complete rest in the cup - in the final third.

Paris Saint-Germain possible starting lineup: Donnarumma; Hakimi, Marquinhos, Ramos, Mendes; Vitinha, Verratti, Ruiz; Messi; Mbappe, Neymar
