Parma, Cagliari share spoils

Parma and Cagliari share a goalless draw in their Serie A match at the Stadio Ennio Tardini.

Parma and Cagliari have played out a goalless draw in their Serie A match this afternoon.

Marco Sau should have given the visitors the lead early on after latching onto a cross, but he put his header from close range over the bar.

They came close again through Daniele Dessena, who worked some space in the box before firing in a low effort that Antonio Mirante kept out.

At the end of the first half, Jaime Valdes was played through on goal with just the keeper to beat, but Avramov pushed his effort past the post.

After the break, Jonathan Biabiany wasted a good opportunity for Parma, as Vlada Avramov saved his low drive.

Sau came close again after receiving the ball inside the box, but his attempt was pushed onto the post by the keeper.

Amauri had the final chance of the game when he headed a cross over the bar, but neither side could make the breakthrough and it finished goalless.
