Hatem Ben Arfa: '18 clubs want to sign me'

Nice attacker Hatem Ben Arfa claims that "18 very interesting clubs" want to sign him in this summer's transfer window.

Hatem Ben Arfa has claimed that "there are 18 very interesting clubs" that want to sign him this summer.

The French international scored 18 Ligue 1 goals for Nice during the 2015-16 campaign, but has not signed a new contract at his current club and will leave on a free transfer next month.

The former Newcastle United attacker has revealed that he will choose between 'three interested clubs', one of which is Lyon, where the 29-year-old started his professional career in 2004.

"There are 18 very interesting clubs who have put themselves forward. I have picked out three," Ben Arfa told Canal Plus.

"There are plenty of offers, like the one from Lyon. They are a very ambitious club with a very ambitious president (Jean-Michel Aulas). Any club with ambition is very interesting, It's a very important decision for me to take this year. I will reflect and discuss it with my entourage."

Barcelona have also been strongly linked with a move for the 15-time France international.
