Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford is allegedly willing to take a pay cut in order to secure a move to Barcelona before the end of the January transfer window.

Marcus Rashford is reportedly willing to take a pay cut in order to secure a move to Barcelona before the end of the January transfer window.

The Englishman has not played for Manchester United since December 12, with Red Devils head coach Ruben Amorim overlooking him due to underwhelming performances in training and his general demeanour around the club.

Amorim recently admitted that he 'did not know' whether the 27-year-old would be on the move before the end of the winter market.

"I don't know. I really don't know," Amorim told reporters when asked whether Rashford could stay at Old Trafford.

When pushed on whether the forward would be reintegrated back into the side if he remains beyond the winter deadline, Amorim said: "Guys, it's 10 days, 10 days until the end and then we will see at the end of the window and then we will talk about that in the moment."

AC Milan are no longer in the running, while Rashford has ruled out the possibility of moving to Turkey or Saudi Arabia, so there are limited options for the Red Devils academy product in the latter stages of the market.

Rashford 'prepared to take pay cut' to secure Barcelona move

Barcelona continue to be linked with the forward, although the Catalan outfit first need to move some players on in order to make space in their budget, which is a complicated task this close to the deadline.

Andreas Christensen and Ansu Fati are both being linked with exits, and if there is movement when it comes to either player, then bringing in Rashford becomes a possibility for Hansi Flick's side.

According to the Daily Star, Rashford 'dreams' of making the move to Barcelona over any other club, and he is prepared to take a wage cut if it means securing a switch to the La Liga giants this month.

Rashford is currently on in the region of £315,000 a week at Man United, but it is understood that he is prepared to re-negotiate his salary in order to make the move to Flick's team, most likely on loan.

Man United 'have received 20 offers for Rashford in January'

According to The Independent, Man United have received 20 enquiries for Rashford during the January transfer window, with the majority of those said to be informal, and it is understood that most were not of interest to the attacker.

Rashford has been linked with a move to Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United this month, but it is believed that Man United are not prepared to let him stay in the Premier League.

Barcelona are therefore potentially the only realistic option for him late in the window, with Borussia Dortmund said to have been priced out of a move, although there have been some suggestions of late interest from Juventus.

Rashford has scored seven times for Man United this season, but he has not featured in the Premier League since early December and will again be absent when the Red Devils take on Fulham at Craven Cottage in England's top flight on Sunday evening.
