Manchester United have reportedly made progress in their efforts to sign Fiorentina playmaker Federico Chiesa.
While the Premier League giants have frequently been linked with Borussia Dortmund's Jadon Sancho, Chiesa is another attack-minded player who has been tipped to make the switch to Old Trafford.
According to Corriere Fiorentino, United have agreed to pay in the region of £50m for Viola's star man during the next transfer window.
However, the report adds that the Italy international is yet to be convinced to end his current stint in Serie A, having represented Fiorentina throughout his professional career.
The 22-year-old has contributed six goals and three assists in Italy's top flight during the current campaign.
Ahead of potentially representing his country at Euro 2020, much could depend on whether Chiesa is given assurances over his game time.
