Manchester United-linked striker Moussa Dembele is told by Lyon boss Sylvinho that he will not be leaving the club this summer.

Lyon head coach Sylvinho has categorically ruled out a late-summer exit for star striker Moussa Dembele, who has emerged as a rumoured transfer option for Manchester United.

The 23-year-old is said to have been targeted by the Red Devils as a possible replacement for Juventus-bound Romelu Lukaku.

Despite the rumoured interest from United, though, former Fulham and Celtic ace Dembele will not be leaving the Groupama Stadium before the transfer window closes.

"Dembele won't move," Sylvinho told L'Equipe. "The window is closed! Okay?"

Lyon, who have lost Nabil Fekir, Ferland Mendy and Tanguy Ndombele since the end of last season, suffered a 3-1 defeat to Liverpool in Wednesday's pre-season friendly.
