Odion Ighalo could make his debut for Manchester United when Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side travel to Chelsea in the Premier League on February 17.
Neither the 20-time English champions nor Shanghai Shenhua have officially announced that the Nigeria international has made the switch to Old Trafford.
However, it is being widely reported that the 30-year-old has agreed to move to United on loan for the remainder of the 2019-20 campaign.
The forward managed 16 Premier League goals during his time with Watford, while he has found the back of the net on 10 occasions in 19 appearances for his current club in all competitions.
Ighalo is likely to head to Manchester in the next few days, meaning that he will not be in the stands for the clash with Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday afternoon.

United should officially announce the move at the start of February, and he will follow Bruno Fernandes to Old Trafford, with the Portugal international recently joining from Sporting Lisbon.
Fernandes was handed the number 18 shirt following Ashley Young's departure, and there are a host of different numbers available to Ighalo at the Theatre of Dreams.
Number nine and 10 are taken by Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford respectively, but number 11 is open after Martial switched following Romelu Lukaku's departure last summer. There is also a possibility that Ighalo could wear the number 19, number 25 or number 27 shirt for the English giants.
It seems unlikely that the Nigerian will be handed a number outside of the top 30, though, and '11' could well be on the back of Ighalo's shirt when he first takes to the field for Solskjaer's side.
