Team News: Adnan Januzaj starts on Manchester United bench

Adnan Januzaj earns a place on the Manchester United bench for the visit of Southampton.

Adnan Januzaj has earned a place on the Manchester United bench for the visit of Southampton this afternoon.

The 20-year-old, who recently returned from a loan at Borussia Dortmund, is back in the senior side after netting a brace for the Under-21s earlier in the week.

Manager Louis van Gaal makes just the one change to the side that defeated Liverpool at Anfield last week, with Cameron Borthwick-Jackson coming in for the injured Ashley Young.

For the visiting Saints, James Ward-Prowse drops to the bench despite finding a brace in the 3-0 win over West Bromwich Albion, with Jordy Clasie coming in. Steven Davis is not fit for the trip, meaning that Dusan Tadic earns a recall to the starting XI.

Meanwhile, new signing Charlie Austin is named on the bench.

Manchester United: De Gea, Darmian, Smalling, Blind, Borthwick-Jackson, Schneiderlin, Fellaini, Lingard, Herrera, Martial, Rooney
Subs: Romero, McNair, Varela, Pereira, Januzaj, Mata, Memphis

Southampton: Forster; Cedric, Fonte, Van Dijk, Bertrand; Targett, Clasie, Long, Mane, Tadic, Wanyama,
Subs: Stekelenburg, Yoshida, Romeu, Martina, Ward-Prowse, Juanmi, Austin
