Manchester United midfielder Ander Herrera chooses Chelsea's Eden Hazard as the best player in the Premier League ahead of Saturday's FA Cup final between the two sides.

Manchester United midfielder Ander Herrera has named Chelsea's Eden Hazard as the best player in the Premier League.

Hazard scored 12 goals and assisted four more in the top flight this season, but he was some way behind the likes of Mohamed Salah and Kevin De Bruyne in the running for the individual awards, with Salah claiming the PFA and FWA Player of the Year gongs in addition to the Golden Boot.

However, Herrera believes that Hazard is still the league's most talented player, and also heaped praise on the ability of teammate David de Gea.

"For me, Hazard is the best player in the league. In my opinion he's the best player in the league, I've said that since my first day here," Herrera told The Big Interview with Graham Hunter.

"For me, David is the best [goalkeeper] by far. I think he has something that comes from god. God chose him in the goal and god chose [Lionel] Messi on the pitch. You cannot train what he did against Liverpool. You cannot train what he did against Kun Aguero when he was two metres in front of him and he put the hand out, you cannot train it.

"You cannot train when he receives the ball from the left defender and he passes the ball to Antonio Valencia perfect. You can see when he receives the ball he knows always what to do. He has some special abilities that I think he hasn't trained them, because you cannot train them, you just have them."

Herrera's United side will come up against Hazard's Chelsea in the final of the FA Cup on Saturday.
