Wayne Rooney 'returns to training ahead of Manchester United's Galatasaray match'

Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney will reportedly return to action against Galatasaray in the Champions League following an ankle injury after featuring in training.

Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney could be in contention to feature for the Red Devils in their Champions League clash against Galatasaray tomorrow after reportedly returning to training.

The 27-year-old missed United's 1-0 defeat to Norwich City on Saturday due to an ankle injury.

United manager Sir Alex Ferguson claimed that the former Everton frontman would be assessed and it appears that the striker has been passed fit after featuring in today's training session, according to BBC Sport.

Goalkeeper David de Gea is also expected to return after having his wisdom teeth removed.
