Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp brushes off suggestions that Mohamed Salah could leave the club during the summer transfer window.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has brushed off suggestions that Mohamed Salah is unsettled at the club.

The 27-year-old has netted 16 goals across all competitions this season, once again leading the Liverpool scoring charts to help the Reds build a 19-point lead at the top of the Premier League table.

Reports have suggested that Salah could miss the start of next season due to his potential involvement in the Olympics with Egypt, but Klopp was also questioned about the prospect of the forward making a more permanent exit during the summer.

Asked whether Salah would still be at the club for the 2020-21 campaign, Klopp told reporters: "I would think so, did you hear something different? How can you see the hunger to stay at Liverpool? It looks to me like he is really settled to be honest.

"I have no idea, actually, but you could ask me the same question for all the others and I have no idea. I didn't think about it until [the press] asked me.

"As long as I don't hear anything and I don't ask the players what they think of next season or in two years, for me, it looks like [he will stay]. How long is his contract? Long? I would [think so] yes, but I have no idea."

Salah has now scored 87 goals in 136 games for Liverpool since joining the club from Roma in 2017.
