Julian Brandt would prefer to join Borussia Dortmund rather than Liverpool if he leaves Bayer Leverkusen, according to a report.

Julian Brandt would reportedly prefer to join Borussia Dortmund rather than Liverpool if he decides to leave Bayer Leverkusen in this summer's transfer window.

Liverpool have been strongly linked with a summer move for the 24-time Germany international, who is believed to have a £21.5m buy-out clause in his current deal, which expires in June 2021.

Meanwhile, Tottenham Hotspur have also recently been credited with an interest in the 23-year-old.

However, according to Sky Sports News, should the attacker leave Leverkusen this summer then he would prefer to join Dortmund over a switch to the Premier League.

Brandt has scored nine times and contributed 17 assists in 42 appearances for Die Werkself in all competitions this season.
