Preview: Liverpool vs. Crystal Palace

Sports Mole looks ahead to this weekend's Premier League encounter between Liverpool and Crystal Palace at Anfield.

Liverpool can put pressure on Arsenal if they manage to snatch all three points from Crystal Palace at Anfield on Saturday afternoon.

It's been a positive start to the season for the Merseyside outfit, who have secured four wins from their first six encounters, placing them second in the league table, two points adrift of Arsenal.

It's no secret that the Reds have been boosted by the return of striker Luis Suarez, who netted twice in Liverpool's 3-1 win over Sunderland last Sunday. The Uruguayan's partnership with Daniel Sturridge has also been praised following concerns whether the duo could play together.

Manager Brendan Rodgers has recently opted for a 3-4-1-2 formation, and the Northern Irishman could stick with it against Palace, who head into this weekend's encounter second from bottom in the table.

Ian Holloway has not had the easiest of starts to his side's first season back in the top flight, recording five defeats and just one win so far in the campaign. The Eagles have also seen 10 goals shipped past them, while only being able to find the net four times.

The former Championship side may feel that they need to change their approach following three straight league defeats, but Holloway is likely to keep the faith with Marouane Chamakh up front.

For Liverpool, Raheem Sterling could make an appearance in the starting lineup with Steven Gerrard or Jordan Henderson, perhaps, holding a more disciplined role in midfield due to the suspension of Lucas Leiva.
