Crystal Palace boss Ian Holloway unhappy with dive

Crystal Palace manager Ian Holloway is unhappy with an apparent dive by Marouane Chamakh during his side's 2-0 defeat to Southampton.

Crystal Palace boss Ian Holloway has said that he is unhappy with an apparent dive by Marouane Chamakh during his side's 2-0 away defeat to Southampton on Saturday.

Chamakh went down in the box having been put through on goal, only to be awarded a yellow card for simulation instead of winning his side a penalty.

"Chamakh looks to have dived which I'm not too happy about," Holloway said after the game.

"He went over far too easily. I cannot understand why he didn't shoot or chip it. If he would have scored everything would have been different."

"He thinks the keeper caught him, I'm not annoyed at him, but I'm not an advocate of what he did. When he sees it back he would have thought he should have shot."

Palace lost 2-0 at St Mary's thanks to goals from Pablo Osvaldo and England striker Rickie Lambert.
