QPR boss Harry Redknapp: "Liverpool, like ourselves, are a work in progress"

Queens Park Rangers boss Harry Redknapp says that Liverpool are similar to his team in that they are also a "work in progress".

Queens Park Rangers manager Harry Redknapp believes that his team have similarities to this Sunday's opponents Liverpool in the sense that they are both a "work in progress".

QPR, who have grabbed just one victory out of seven games in the Premier League this season, will take on the Reds at Loftus Road.

Brendan Rodgers's side, who lost prolific striker Luis Suarez to Barcelona in the summer, have struggled to carry last season's form into the new campaign following three wins out of seven.

"Liverpool are a fine side, they lost the fourth best player in the world in Suarez, but they'll be pushing for top four," Rodgers told reporters.

"Liverpool, like ourselves, are a work in progress. Brendan had to make changes this season but they've a great squad still."

The Merseyside outfit did the double over QPR in the 2012-13 season.
