Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp says that Stoke City is a "difficult place to go" ahead of the Premier League clash between the sides on Wednesday night.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has suggested that his players know what to expect from facing Stoke City in their late kickoff at the bet365 Stadium.

Since earning promotion to the Premier League in 2008, Stoke have developed a reputation for being able to defeat the top sides in the Premier League in front of their own supporters.

However, Liverpool have won on their previous three visits to the Potteries, and Klopp has claimed that his players will not be overawed by the occasion.

The 50-year-old told reporters: "Stoke for sure is a difficult place to go, they're a good side. Mark Hughes is a good manager and they live for moments like this, if you want - floodlights, home crowd, big atmosphere.

"We won't suffer in this atmosphere, we're going there to get the points, that's 100% clear."

Stoke head into the contest having already defeated Arsenal and registered a 2-2 draw with Manchester United this season.
