Robbie Fowler backs Mario Balotelli to find best form at Liverpool

Robbie Fowler insists that Mario Balotelli can put his recent poor form behind him to become a success at Liverpool.

Former Liverpool striker has insisted that Mario Balotelli will eventually find the form he needs to be a success at Anfield.

Balotelli has scored just two goals in all competitions since moving to the club from AC Milan in the summer, but Fowler is confident that the Italian will put his recent poor performances behind him.

"For whatever reason, it hasn't worked out for him so far," Fowler told FourFourTwo. "But Balotelli is a fantastic talent, he has scored goals everywhere he has been.

"You look at the clubs he has played for, and he obviously has something about him.

"He needs to concentrate on his football, forget about any off-field antics and run about a little bit more. I am sure he will be a good player for Liverpool."

Despite his disappointing form, Balotelli was handed a recall by Italy head coach Antonio Conte on the weekend.
