David Beckham has signed a new two-year contract with Los Angeles Galaxy.

The former England captain had been linked with a move to French side Paris Saint-Germain.

"This was an important decision for me," the 36-year-old said in a statement.

"I had many offers from clubs from around the world, however, I'm still passionate about playing in America and winning trophies with the Galaxy."

Beckham signed for the MLS side in 2007 from Real Madrid.
