Aaron Creswell's strike gives Ipswich town a slender half-time lead against Wolverhampton Wanderers.

A goal from Aaron Creswell has given Ipswich Town a half-time lead against Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Championship.

Lee Martin had a good early chance for the visitors but his curled effort flew just wide of Carl Ikeme's post.

The midfielder looked the most dangerous player on the pitch in the opening exchanges and tested Ikeme's reactions with a drilled effort following a smart pass from DJ Campbell.

A rare opening presented itself to Bakary Sako midway through the first half but the midfielder failed to test Stephen Henderson as he dragged his shot wide of the post.

It was the visitors who broke the deadlock in the 33rd minute as Creswell beat Ikeme following good work from Campbell.
