Everton defender John Stones to reject Chelsea move in January?

Everton defender John Stones will reportedly reject a move to Chelsea in the January transfer window as he intends to see out the season at Goodison Park.

Everton defender John Stones will reportedly reject a move to Chelsea in the January transfer window as he is determined to finish the season at Goodison Park.

The England international submitted a transfer request in the summer when Chelsea had a series of bids, one close to £30m, rejected by the Merseyside outfit.

However, the 21-year-old remained at Everton and intends to stay there until the end of the season at least, despite Chelsea planning to launch a fresh bid in two months' time, according to The Mirror.

The report adds that Stones does not want to disrupt his season as he aims to snatch a spot in the England squad for next summer's European Championships in France.

The defender has three-and-a-half years left on his contract at Everton.
