Team News: Didier Drogba leads Chelsea line at Aston Villa

Chelsea decide to start with Didier Drogba as a lone striker as Jose Mourinho's side travel to face Aston Villa in the Premier League.

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has decided to start Didier Drogba as a lone striker as his side travel to face Aston Villa in the Premier League this afternoon.

The frontman is to be supported by a forward-lying three of Willian, Oscar and Eden Hazard, while new signing Juan Cuadrado could make his debut from the bench.

Hosts Villa stick with new boy Carles Gil after he has impressed in recent weeks, with the playmaker providing creative enterprise for both Andreas Weimann and Gabby Agbonlahor.

Fabian Delph has also been given the chance to impress from midfield against the club he tormented last season, with Ashley Westwood and Tom Cleverley also sitting in the middle.

Aston Villa: Guzan; Hutton, Okore, Clark, Cissokho, Westwood, Delph, Cleverley, Agbonlahor, Weimann, Gil

Chelsea: Courtois; Ivanovic, Cahill, Terry, Azpilicueta; Ramires, Matic; Willian, Oscar, Hazard; Drogba
