Alan Shearer feels that Jose Mourinho will make Chelsea favourites for the Premier League title once again after he rejoined the club last week.

Alan Shearer believes that Jose Mourinho will make Chelsea the team to beat in the Premier League once again.

The Portuguese rejoined the Blues as manager last week after leaving Real Madrid at the end of last season.

Shearer wrote in his column in The Sun: "While Manchester United under Sir Alex played some fantastic football, he also added a drama to title races off the pitch.

"Mourinho will certainly do that. More importantly, he will make Chelsea the team to beat once more.

"You only have to look at his record to realise just what is facing both David Moyes at United and Manuel Pellegrini at Manchester City next season."

Mourinho won the Premier League twice during his first spell as Chelsea boss from 2004 to 2007.
