Chelsea and QPR are goalless following the first half of their Premier League clash at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea and Queens Park Rangers have both failed to break the deadlock in the opening 45 minutes of this evening's Premier League clash at Stamford Bridge.

There was controversy as early as the second minute when Marko Marin, who was making his league debut for the hosts, lunged in on Stephane Mbia.

The Chelsea midfielder went in well over the top of the ball, but he only picked up a yellow card from referee Lee Mason when a red could easily have been shown.

The first real chance of what was a dull half came with 14 minutes on the clock as David Luiz hit his volley over the crossbar.

A rare opportunity for QPR came on 26 minutes when Shaun Wright-Phillips's tame effort flew wide of the Chelsea goal.

The hosts looked under par for large spells of the contest, while the visitors lacked the inspiration needed to cause problems.

Oscar could have opened the scoring with half and hour played - only for Clint Hill to head the Brazilian's curling effort off the line.

There was another chance late on for Oscar, but his deflected shot was saved by the legs of Julio Cesar before Victor Moses blazed the rebound over the bar.
