Celtic captain Scott Brown's UEFA hearing on Friday

Celtic midfielder Scott Brown will learn if his appeal against a UEFA ban has been successful on Friday.

Celtic captain Scott Brown will know the outcome of his appeal against a UEFA ban on Friday.

The midfielder was slapped with a two-match suspension by European football's governing body on top of an automatic one-game ban for his red card during his side's Champions League clash with Barcelona at the start of this month.

Brown missed Celtic's 2-1 home win against Ajax last week and will sit out their reverse fixture in Amsterdam, as well as the Scottish champions' encounter with AC Milan in Glasgow.

The 28-year-old will appear at a UEFA hearing in Switzerland on Friday to find out whether his appeal against the ban will be overturned.

Celtic are currently third in Group H with three points from as many matches.
