Henrikh Mkhitaryan loving life at Borussia Dortmund

Henrikh Mkhitaryan declared that making the summer switch to Borussia Dortmund made him "the happiest man in Europe".

Borussia Dortmund midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan has declared that he made the move to Germany this summer in search of silverware.

Mkhitaryan was Dortmund's major acquisition of the summer, signed primarily to replace Mario Gotze in a £23.5m move from Shakhtar Donetsk.

The Armenian playmaker has shared his delight at making the move to Bundesliga, with an ambition to adapt quickly to life under Dortmund coach Jurgen Klopp and win trophies.

He told Kicker: "When I received the news that the transfer had worked out, I was the happiest man in Europe.

"As a footballer, I wanted to go somewhere that you have to win titles, as I always want to give everything for 90 minutes.

"I like to live simply. Outside of my team, I don't want to be a star. I'm just a normal person."

The 24-year-old has played twice for Dortmund so far this season, with his latest appearance coming in a 1-0 win over Werder Bremen last Friday.
