Blackpool's Mark Waddington has season ended by injury

Mark Waddington won't play for Blackpool again this season after breaking his foot in training last week.

Championship strugglers Blackpool have been dealt a blow with the news that Mark Waddington has been ruled out for the rest of the season with a broken foot.

The 18-year-old midfielder suffered a fractured metatarsal in training on Friday.

"I'm frustrated for Mark, he's broken a bone in his foot and he'll be out for the rest of the season. He'll probably have to get it pinned," Tangerines boss Lee Clark told the club website.

Waddington broke into the first-team picture at Blackpool this season and has five senior appearances to his name.
