Phillip Lahm: 'Marcelo should have seen red'

Bayern Munich defender Phillip Lahm claims that Real Madrid defender Marcelo should have been sent off during their Champions League semi-final clash on Tuesday.

Bayern Munich defender Phillip Lahm believes that Real Madrid defender Marcelo should have received a red card during Bayern's 2-1 Champions League semi-final win on Tuesday.

A late Mario Gomez goal secured the advantage for the German side, but Lahm was furious with Marcelo's late challenge on Thomas Muller.

"Marcelo's tackle was a red card. Especially when you compare it to the challenge I made when I was booked," Lahm told Sat1.

The return leg at the Bernabeu will take place on April 25.
