Barcelona have allegedly failed with three previous efforts to sign Miralem Pjanic, who could leave Juventus during the next transfer window.

Barcelona will reportedly be making their fourth approach for Juventus midfielder Miralem Pjanic during the next transfer window.

At a time when the Italian giants are hoping to sign Paul Pogba from Manchester United, Pjanic is expected to leave after a four-year spell in Turin.

Although a number of reports have suggested that Barcelona are the favourites for his signature, it appears that the Spanish outfit have previously failed to bring in the Bosnia-Herzegovina international.

According to AS, Barcelona first wanted to sign Pjanic in 2016, a time when the player ultimately decided to leave Roma for Juventus.

The report adds that a deal could have materialised in 2017 and 2018, only for one of the relevant parties to be against a transfer at the time.

The two clubs are said to be holding discussions regarding a move at the end of the current campaign.
