Paco Alcacer says that he will not look too far ahead following a frustrating season at Barcelona, but declares himself pleased with the way he finished the campaign.

Barcelona forward Paco Alcacer has insisted that he is "very happy" after ending the season on a high, but will leave a decision over his future to the club.

The Spain international struggled to break into a star-studded attack on a regular basis during his maiden campaign at Camp Nou, starting six league games in all.

Alcacer took advantage of his first Copa del Rey start on Saturday evening, however, finding the net in Barca's 3-1 final win over Alaves in the absence of the suspended Luis Suarez.

Following a season of frustration, Alcacer has vowed to give his all if he does remain in Catalonia but is not looking too far ahead.

"I only live in the present and I'm happy here," he told reporters. "It is not up to me to decide what happens next season, it is the directors and the coaches.

"In the end, the hard work was reflected on the pitch. Helping the team with a goal is important and I am very happy to end the season like this.

"I have gone from down to up during the season. I always try to think in the present and on the next game and, in the end, it has its rewards. You can never give up - you must always give your all."

Former Valencia ace Alcacer netted eight goals overall for Barcelona, while also setting up four more.
