Ivan Rakitic: 'Season will be complicated'

Barcelona midfielder Ivan Rakitic says that it "will be a lot harder" for his team to repeat their treble-winning heroics of last season in the 2015-16 campaign.

Barcelona midfielder Ivan Rakitic has said that he is under no illusions as to how difficult it will be for his team to claim more trophies this season.

The Catalan outfit won La Liga, the Champions League and the Copa del Rey last term and have been tipped to repeat their heroics in the 2015-16 campaign.

Rakitic, however, has said that repeating last season's antics "will be a lot harder" due to the fact that 'everyone wants to beat them'.

"We know that this season will be a lot harder and more complicated because we won everything, and everyone will go for us," Rakitic told AS.

"We all have to do more, and I put myself first in that. The most important thing is that we continue in this good line but there's a lot ahead to get another medal."

Barcelona are currently six points clear at the top of La Liga and are also on the cusp of qualifying for the knockout stage of the Champions League.
