Pedro says that Barcelona are targeting the La Liga points record of 100 this season.

Barcelona forward Pedro has admitted that the Catalan side are targeting 100 points this season, a feat that would be a record for La Liga.

The champions are currently on 91 points, which means that maximum points from their final league games this season would see them become the first team ever to reach 100 points in La Liga.

"The 100-point record is a motivation for us and an objective we have in mind," Pedro told reporters.

"We know it will be difficult because the other teams we are playing are still playing for things – but we intend to try.

"The league is the most important title in any season, because it reflects your consistency. I'm very pleased about the league title and the work the team have put in."

Barca's next league game is on Sunday at home to Real Valladolid.
