Neymar hails Lionel Messi

Brazilian forward Neymar calls Barcelona teammate Lionel Messi "the best in the world" after the Argentine provided him with two goals in the win over Bilbao.

Neymar has branded Barcelona teammate Lionel Messi "the best in the world" following Saturday's 2-0 win over Athletic Bilbao at the Camp Nou.

The Brazilian scored twice in the latter stages to help his side secure three points, but both assists came from Messi, who has started the season in fine form.

"I am very happy with the game today. It went perfectly with two goals," Neymar told AS.

"We knew we were going to suffer a little but we managed to keep defending well and then get the win. Messi is the best in the world, a star. I'm recovering and we're getting better as a team."

Barcelona still have Luis Suarez to come into their attack, with the former Liverpool forward due to return from a four-month suspension at the end of October.
