Atletico Madrid are reportedly preparing to offer skipper Gabi a new and improved contract.
The Spaniard played a key role for his side last season as the capital outfit won their first La Liga title since 1996 and reached the final of the Champions League.
The midfielder's current deal runs until 2016, but according to Marca, Atletico are preparing to offer the 30-year-old fresh terms, including a rise in his basic pay.
Gabi joined Atletico from Real Zaragoza in 2011.
