Roma take all three points in a thrilling 3-2 win away at Atalanta in this afternoon's Serie A clash.

Roma secured all three points in a thrilling 3-2 win over Atalanta in this afternoon's Serie A encounter.

Marko Livaja gave Atalanta a lead after just eight minutes, finishing well from a Giacomo Bonaventura assist.

However, four minutes later Roma equalised through Marquinho.

The away side continued to push forward and were soon ahead when Miralem Pjanic struck on 34 minutes.

Livaja and Bonaventura linked up once again just before half time to make it 2-2, with the Croatian grabbing his second of the game.

Atalanta continued to attack in the second half and could have gone ahead on 54 minutes when Carlos Carmona broke free; however, his finish was lacking.

Erik Lamela began to cause problems for the home side and came close with two efforts within 10 minutes.

Roma took the lead for the second time on 71 minutes through a header from Vasilis Torosidis.

Matteo Contini was given a second yellow on 89 minutes as Roma saw out the game.
