Claudio Ranieri: 'Radamel Falcao needs more support'

AS Monaco boss Claudio Ranieri says that his side need to provide more support to Radamel Falcao in order to get the best out of the striker.

Monaco boss Claudio Ranieri has called upon his side to provide key striker Radamel Falcao with more support in order to bring him into the game more often.

Monaco are trying to keep up with league leaders Paris Saint-Germain and Ranieri feels that it is important for his side to use the Colombian striker more effectively.

"The team should offer more support to Falcao and give him the ball more," Ranieri told FourFourTwo.

"This is necessary to be in a better position for us to be more effective. We know that the last pass can be difficult, but we also know that he can score goals and can turn things around if we use him well.

"This is the task that I am giving to my squad. Falcao is a player who can strengthen our confidence."

Monaco are second in Ligue 1, but can move level on points with PSG with a win at Lille on Sunday.
