Arsenal left-back Kieran Tierney is fit and raring to go for Scotland's World Cup qualifiers after recovering from an ankle injury.

Arsenal defender Kieran Tierney has been given the green light to link up with the Scotland squad for November's World Cup 2022 qualifiers.

The former Celtic man has been struggling with an ankle problem in recent weeks but was fit enough to make the bench for Sunday's Premier League win over Watford.

Tierney was an unused substitute in that victory, though, and uncertainty still lingered over his participation in Scotland's upcoming clashes with Moldova and Denmark.

However, Scotland coach John Carver has insisted that the left-back is fit and raring to go, telling reporters: "He looked great this morning, full of running.

"He has been out some time now but he was on the bench at the weekend and he has come into the camp and trained exceptionally well. We don't see any problems with him."

Tierney's return to fitness has given Mikel Arteta a selection dilemma on the left-hand side, with Nuno Tavares impressing during his teammate's spell on the sidelines.
