Arsenal defender Carl Jenkinson says that he is determined to win back his place in the England squad.

Arsenal right-back Carl Jenkinson has insisted that he aims to snatch back his place in the England squad.

The 21-year-old made his senior debut for the Three Lions in November last year, but was left out of England's friendly over Brazil last month, and their upcoming World Cup qualifiers against San Marino and Montenegro.

"I want to get back into the England squad and I'm fighting to do that," Jenkinson told the club's official website.

"I've just got to be doing it week-in, week-out for Arsenal, I've got to be putting in good, consistent performances and hopefully that will catch the manager's eye. I'll be aiming to do that and hopefully if I do that a call-up will come my way."

Jenkinson opted to commit his senior career to England, despite playing for Finland at Under-21 level.
