Sports Mole previews Tuesday's League Cup quarter-final clash between Bradford City and Arsenal at Valley Parade.

Bradford City welcome Arsenal to Valley Parade on Tuesday with a place in the semi-finals of the League Cup at stake.

The Bantams have already defeated Wigan Athletic on their way to this stage of the competition, while a run of just one defeat in their last 12 fixtures in League Two has left them in fourth spot in the table.

Arsenal, meanwhile, have struggled for form this season, but victory over West Bromwich Albion at the weekend moved them into seventh spot in the Premier League. They also currently have the second-best defensive record in the league this season, conceding just six goals on the road.

Bradford, however, boast the best home defensive record in their respective league, having conceded just six times in 11 matches at Valley Parade.

There have been 25 previous clashes between the two sides, with Arsenal winning 11 to Bradford's nine. However, the Gunners have not won the League Cup since 1993 or indeed a trophy since 2005.

Bradford are expected to name their strongest lineup for the match, but the tie has come too soon for Zavon Hines and Kyel Reid. Arsenal, meanwhile, are expected to make changes from the weekend with Aaron Ramsey and Tomas Rosicky due to start.

Recent form:

Bradford City: LWDDW
Arsenal: DDLLW

Possible lineups:

Bradford City: Duke; Darby, McHugh, McArdle, Meredith; Thompson, Jones, Doyle, Atkinson; Hanson, Wells

Arsenal: Szczesny; Jenkinson, Mertesacker, Squillaci, Gibbs; Ramsey, Arteta, Rosicky; Oxlade-Chamberlain, Giroud, Gervinho

Sports Mole says: 1-3
