New Zealand's Corey Anderson, BJ Watling injury doubts for second Test

New Zealand duo Corey Anderson and BJ Watling are injury doubts for the second Test against England at Headingley, which begins on Friday.

New Zealand could be without all-rounder Corey Anderson and wicketkeeper BJ Watling for the second Test against England at Headingley this week due to injuries.

Watling has a "50/50" chance of playing after suffering a knee problem on the opening day of the first Test, which ended in a 124-run victory for England at Lord's.

Anderson picked up a back injury and could only bowl three overs in the second innings as a result.

"BJ's not 100%, clearly his knee is still an issue," ESPN quotes head coach Mike Hesson as saying. "He struggles to push off and get a lot of power so he's a 50/50 at this stage. From Corey's perspective bowling was painful and so was fielding so we'll need to monitor that."

The second and final Test of the series will begin on Friday.
