Argentine welterweight Marcos Maidana has claimed that it is time for Floyd Mayweather to lose.
Maidana takes on the unbeaten pound-for-pound king in May, earning his shot after an impressive win over Adrien Broner.
While Maidana knows that this will be a much tougher test, he is confident of his chances.
"I know I can't count on my chances of another Broner fight," Maidana told ESPN. "Mayweather is much better than that.
"Everyone at some point has to lose in life, and it's time for [Mayweather] to lose.
"This is a fight that can change my career, but mostly my life."
Maidana faces Mayweather in Las Vegas on May 3.
