Shawn Marion has scored a season-high 32 points to help give the Dallas Mavericks a slender 100-98 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Not only did Marion lead the way in attack, but the forward also pulled off a last-second defensive play to stop Kevin Love shooting a game-winning three-pointer.
Love had recorded a game-high 36 points in the match, yet it wasn't enough as Marion combined with Dirk Nowitzki, who also notched 16 points, to help ensure that the Mavericks sealed the game.
The result sees Dallas take a three-game lead over the Timberwolves for the eighth seed spot in the Western Conference.
